Brief INtrodudction to GCC MSBC

Thank you for your interest in beginning course work with the Grace Counseling Clinic Ministry School of Biblical Counseling, a non-accredited orthodoxic and orthopraxic program for pastors to grow in an effective Biblical counseling ministry through their church. This training program is considered a reading, research, and cohort-driven, i.e., students are required to engage in significant reading, research, and writing assignments per each module in collaboration with their cohort.  Time demands will be significant and must be considered before acceptance into the program. 

Summary of registration requirements

Requirements to begin course work at the Grace Counseling Clinic Ministry School of Biblical Counseling:

  1. Completion of at least a bachelors degree in the field of pastoral ministry, Biblical studies, religious education, counseling, or a related major. 
  2. Printed copy of all applicable laws of your state demonstrating allowance of the ministry of Biblical or pastoral counseling for your congregation, church, or synagogue.
  3. Proof of employment, ministry status, or official status at your church as a pastor, lay-pastor, trustee, elder, deacon, spiritual shepherd, caregiver, or an official designation of your official capacity at your church.
  4. Proof of Counseling Liability insurance coverage as an employee or official of your church. Completed registration form.
  5. Signed liability release and acknowledgment of professional limitations of your participation in the GCC Ministry School of Biblical Counseling program.
  6. (1) Letter of Endorsement from your Senior Pastor or designee of your Elder or Deacon Board. This letter must state their full endorsement of you in character, spiritual gifting, moral standing, and recommendation to enter the GCC MSBC course work.
  7. (3) Letters of Endorsement from members of your congregation (non-familial). This letter must state their full endorsement of you in character, spiritual gifting, moral standing, and recommendation to enter the GCC MSBC course work.
  8. Submit a copy of your church's doctrinal statement.
  9. Successfully pass state and federal criminal background checks including sex offender registries (fees are associated).
  10. Submit your testimony of conversion and baptism.
  11. Submit your testimony of daily faith and devotion to Christ.
  12. Submit your testimony of why you want to begin or grow in a ministry of Biblical Counseling.
  13. Full consideration of the time and academic demands associated with this program. 
  14. Full consideration of the obligation to work directly with and collaborate with your cohort.
  15. Non-refundable payment of $25.00 fee for all state and federal background checks and GCC administrative processing. Payment does not indicate acceptance into the GCC Ministry School of Biblical Counseling.
